Manage Legionella Surveys
The Legionella Survey allows you to add a new record or edit an existing one.
To add or edit a Legionella Survey:

Navigate to Health and Safety > Legionella > New Legionella Survey.
Alternatively, search for and open an existing Legionella survey record, and double-click an existing record to open it.
The Legionella Survey Editor screen is displayed.

Enter or edit the relevant details.
The fields on the Legionella Survey Editor tab are described in the following table.
This field | Holds this information... |

Title |
The title of the survey. This field is mandatory. Note: The survey title must be unique. |
Type |
The type of inspection. Select from the drop-down list. This field is mandatory. Note: These can be defined in Survey Type reference data (accessed by navigating to Health and Safety > Legionella > Legionella). |
Surveyor | The surveyor assigned to the task. This field is mandatory. |
Locations | The location associated with the survey. Enabled when the record is saved. |
Comments |
Comments about the survey. Click the Comments button to display the Select window.
Select the relevant text. Note: These can be defined in Standard Survey Text reference data (accessed by navigating to Health and Safety > Legionella > Legionella). |
Forecast Survey Date | The predicted date that the survey will commence. |
Actual Survey Date | The date that the survey was performed. |
Survey From Date | The date that the survey started. |
Survey To Date | The date that the survey completed. |

Click Save.
The Survey Locations tab is displayed when a new survey is added.
When you create a new Legionella Survey, the following buttons are added to the Tasks panel:
- New reading
- New sample
- New assessment
- New Legionella survey
- Manage Reference Data
- Manage Attribute Definitions

Click the Manage survey locations link on the Legionella Survey Editor.
The Survey Locations screen is displayed.

Do one of the following:

Click the New button to add a location

Select a record and then click the Delete button to remove the location

Double-click a record to display the Survey location window, where you can specify the survey status and record any comments
After clicking OK, any locations marked as 'Surveyed' will have a black check box selected and any marked as 'Unable to survey' will have a blank check box in the Surveyed column.
Note: If a location has child items, a window is displayed asking if you want the survey status to cascade to those child items.

You can add details of a reading to a Legionella Survey after it has been added.
To add a reading to a Legionella Survey:

Click the New reading button in the Tasks panel of a Legionella Survey record.
Alternatively, click the Readings taken option in the Associated Items panel.
The Reading screen is displayed.
- Enter or edit the relevant details.
The fields on the Reading screen are described in the following table.

Asset |
The asset surveyed for Legionella. This field is mandatory. Note: Only assets marked as a Water Source are available for selection. The assets listed are determined by the location selected in the Legionella Survey. |
Reading Date | The date of the reading. |
Reading Details | The reading details. Select the relevant check box(es) and complete the Date, Time and Reading Value fields. |

Click Save.
You can add details of a sample to a Legionella Survey after it has been added.
To add or edit a Legionella Survey sample:

Click the New sample button in the Tasks panel of a Legionella Survey record or search for and open the relevant Legionella Survey.
Alternatively, click the Assets inspected option in the Associated Items panel to view the Assessed Assets tab.
The Sample tab is sample.

Click Save.
You can add details of an assessment to a Legionella Survey after it has been added.
To add or edit an assessment:

Click the New assessment button in the Tasks panel of a Legionella Survey record.
The Assessment screen is displayed.
- Enter or edit the relevant details.
The fields on the Assessment screen are described in the following table.

Location |
The location of the sample. Note: This field is mandatory. Click the Location button to display the Select location window.
Use the level selector to select the relevant room, floor, zone, building, site or business unit. |
Location Description | The description of the assessment location. |
Asset |
The asset surveyed for Legionella. This field is mandatory. Note: Only assets marked as a Water Source are available for selection. The assets listed are determined by the location selected in the Legionella Survey. |
Assessment Date | The date of the assessment. |
Re-inspection | The date of the re-assessment. |
Inspection Headers | The inspection header. Select from the drop-down list, which is populated when an asset is chosen. This field is mandatory. |

Click Save.
The relevant assessment is displayed.

Click the chevron button to display the relevant questions.
The questions are displayed.

Enter the relevant details.
